Empire mid-season finale live stream: Watch online

Well, folks, we’ve reached the end of another half of a season of Empire. What’s on tap for our favorite family this week?
Andre has apparently suffered a psychotic break, seemingly as a result of the recalibrated meds prescribed by Diana DuBois’ dirty doctor for hire. Previews of the next episode of Empire show him in a hospital, presumably having been committed.
Honestly, this is the plot point I’m most interested in seeing. A big theme this season, as I’ve mentioned previously, is that Andre doesn’t get the same amount of attention, or babying as it were, as his brothers. This is simply because his life is the most stable and he has consistently made objectively better decisions than Hakeem and Jamal (not becoming hooked on painkillers, or having secret meetings with your family’s enemies and losing your daughter come to mind).
It wasn’t until Cookie pieced together that Diana was after all of her sons that people really honed in on what could be wrong in Andre’s life and by that point it was too late. I honestly wasn’t expecting Officer Rose to be a hallucination this whole time. Double crossing Andre for the police was one thing, but this new development places Andre’s mental health front and center and I can’t wait to see what the result is.

Okay, I had a whole list of predictions for the season finale. But then I went ahead and watched some video clips and saw that one of the scenes is going to feature Andre singing. Now, as soon as I first heard Trai Byers sing (for those of you who don’t know, in real life the man has an excellent set of pipes), I knew fans would be rooting for him to sing on the show. But since Andre is supposed to be the only Lyon son without a musical gift, that seemed unlikely.
I’m fairly certain this is a dream, but I do want to know what happens as a result of this. We’ve already seen Lucious develop a knack for painting and synesthesia because of his brain injury. Could Andre suddenly reveal an amazing singing voice after his nervous breakdown?

Anyway…
The Lyons will really have to pull out the big guns to take down the DuBois family, since Diana has the best kind of intel on each of them and has managed to pinpoint each son’s Achilles heel. There’s only one way to find out how this half of the season wraps up.
