Is Once Upon a Time new tonight, Dec. 1, on ABC?

This Friday, Dec. 1, Once Upon a Time takes yet another week off to give way for the two-hour season five premiere of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. So, when can we expect a new episode?

Who wants a new episode of Once Upon a Time tonight? Unfortunately, we can’t just wish upon a star or rub a magic lamp to get what we want. If only our lives were a fairy tale.

Once Upon a Time is taking another week off to make way for the two-hour season five premiere of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (The show was already off last week due to a Christmas special.) For those who are fans of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (myself included in that population), consider yourselves lucky — you get an extra hour with your favorite agents! Yay!

So when does Once Upon a Time return exactly? You won’t have to wait too much longer — the seventh season will resume on Friday, Dec. 8, at the same time and place (8:00 p.m. ET on ABC)! The upcoming episode, entitled “One Little Tear,” is expected to shed some light on why Rapunzel is truly locked in the tower. I have my theories, but I don’t want to spoil it. Oncers are still reeling from the shocking (or not-so-shocking) revelation that occurred two weeks prior — Alice is (indeed) Hook’s daughter! And her mother, if you’ll recall, is Mother Gothel, who disguised herself as Rapunzel to seduce Hook into sleeping with her. Pretty tangled, huh? (Get it?)
