Outlander season 3, episode 11: Watch Uncharted online

Claire and Jamie continue to look for each other on the never-ending journey to Jamaica in the newest episode of Lost, I mean Outlander.

“If I don’t make it to Jamaica, I could lose my husband forever,” Claire tells a kindly stranger in the promo for tonight’s installment of Outlander, “Uncharted.” Since the kindly stranger has just met Claire and probably knows nothing of her and Jamie’s history, he doesn’t roll his eyes.

But I did.

I know the stakes are very real for Claire and for Jamie, but they aren’t for the audience anymore — or at least they aren’t right now. After half a season of getting these two back together, I sincerely doubt that Outlander is going to keep them apart for long. I doubt even more that our heroes will be permanently separated by Jamie’s death.

It’s possible that “Uncharted” will be a good, compelling episode but I have to confess: I’m over this voyage to Jamaica and I’m over the series ripping Jamie and Claire apart just because. For the love of Murtagh, Outlander, just let your characters get to the colonies already. We — and I include Claire and Jamie here — are all ready for a new adventure, one that has nothing to do with our heroes finding their way back to each other again.
