Supergirl season 3 episode 7 live stream: Watch online
By Amy Woolsey
Upon returning to National City, Kara finds a shocking discovery waiting for her. Here is what you need to know about this week’s Supergirl episode.
Season 3 of Supergirl has been taking its sweet time getting to the point. Last week, it went on yet another detour, as the Danvers sisters visited the town of their youth. We’re not complaining, though. “Midvale” was certainly interesting, developing Kara and Alex’s relationship through flashbacks.
(In case you missed it, our recap is here.)
But it’s back to business now. Read on for the official plot synopsis for tonight’s episode, titled “Wake Up”:
"CHAD LOWE RETURNS TO DIRECT; BETTY BUCKLEY GUEST STARS — When Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and the team discover an alien ship has crash landed deep underwater beneath National City, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is called in to investigate. Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) attempts to bond with his father, Myr’nn (guest star Carl Lumbly). Samantha (Odette Annable), eager for some understanding of the changes she has been experiencing, looks to her estranged mother, Patricia Arias (guest star Betty Buckley), for answers."
In “The Faithful”, Kara and Alex foiled Coville’s plot to destroy a basketball stadium by pushing the bomb into a hole underground. Unbeknownst to them, the detonation caused something in an alien ship to stir. So, we’ll see what that was about.
Actually, we kind of already know. If you stuck around to watch the promo after “Midvale”, you saw that Mon-El will make his long-awaited/dreaded return. Of course, having her star-crossed love back won’t solve Kara’s identity crisis. Judging by the promo, Mon-El has changed since he disappeared into the wormhole (or whatever that was) at the end of season 2.
Meanwhile, it’s J’onn and Samantha’s turns to deal with family issues. We’re not sure why we need to meet Samantha’s mother, but it is Thanksgiving week.
