Outlander season 3, episode 10: Watch Heaven & Earth online

Jamie fights to get Claire back, Claire fights for her patients, and Outlander fights to rebound from last week’s episode.

It looks like “Heaven & Earth” is going to try to recapture that ol’ Outlander magic. Jamie will make passionate declarations that sound impossibly sexy because of his accent (and because Sam Heughan is impossibly sexy). As for Claire, she’ll make a valiant effort to save her patients in the face of tremendous odds and blatant misogyny. After last week’s less-than-stellar installment, I’m all for the series getting back to its roots.

I also hope that, for the sweet love of Murtagh, the separation between Jamie and Claire is over by episode’s end — and that they stay together until at least the season finale.

Outlander‘s third season has been fairly disjointed, which I think is a conscious, artistic nod to the way Claire and Jamie feel without each other: off. Perhaps as Claire and Jamie find their way back to each other (again) in “Heaven & Earth,” Outlander will find its way back to itself.

Even if it doesn’t, this week promises to be a fairly Fergus-centric episode, and that’s more than enough to make me happy.
