Once Upon a Time season 7, episodes 7 & 8 live stream: Watch online

It’s a Once Upon a Time two-hour event this Friday, with “Eloise Gardener” and “Pretty in Blue.” Here’s what you need to know.

This Friday on Once Upon a Time, episodes 7 and 8 will be airing back-to-back in a two-hour event, starting with the episode entitled “Eloise Gardener.” As seen in the promo, “Eloise Gardener” will be centered around a new version of Rapunzel, to be played by Meegan Warner. This version of Rapunzel will find herself trapped in a tower by an evil sorceress. How fitting!

We all know by now that Hook is looking for his long-lost daughter, but the series has yet to confirm whether Eloise Gardener, the girl in Rogers’ missing-persons case, is his daughter. If they’re the same person, it would mean that Rapunzel is Hook’s daughter.

What makes me thinks so, you wonder? Check out this fan’s breakdown of the name Eloise Gardener:

"Gardener refers to someone who tends a garden, and Rapunzel is a type of vegetable.Eloise has been linked with the Greek word for sun, Helios, and we know that the magical flower with regenerative powers in the film Tangled bloomed from a drop of pure sunlight."

If this fan is correct, they deserve all the credit that can be given to them. It makes sense; therefore, I back this theory. If this is true, however, I only hope Hook’s daughter isn’t Alice’s true love, because that would mean Flynn Rider doesn’t exist in the Once ‘verse, and I don’t know if I can handle that. (I’m still waiting on Prince Naveen.) But I think I’ll still find it interesting, nonetheless!

Rapunzel previously appeared on Once Upon a Time back in season three, and was then played by Alexandra Metz.

Airing in the second hour is “Pretty in Blue,” which is apparently centered around Ella. Or is it about Alice? Either way, Ella has apparently come and gone from Wonderland, but has more of a connection to the locale than others. Any theories where this story might be going, feel free to share!

The synopsis for “Eloise Gardener” goes as follows, via ABC:

"In pursuit of revenge, Hook seeks a dark and powerful magic, but an encounter with Rapunzel could alter his fate forever. Meanwhile, in Hyperion Heights, Ivy’s plot to take down Victoria intensifies and has unexpected consequences for Jacinda and Lucy. Rogers enlists Henry and Tilly’s help in his ongoing quest to find the missing Eloise Gardner, but what he discovers isn’t what meets the eye."

And here’s the synopsis for “Pretty in Blue,” which will follow directly afterward:

"In an attempt to prevent a distressed Alice from running away, Henry and Ella follow her into Wonderland. Once there, Henry realizes that Ella has a surprising connection to this strange world. In Hyperion Heights, Jacinda reconnects with an old friend in a last ditch effort to regain custody of Lucy, but her decision to enlist outside help could put a strain on her burgeoning relationship with Henry."
