Spookily enough, Scared Famous will finally premiere tonight. Here’s how to catch the start of the scary reality competition show.

Whatever you expect from VH1’s Scared Famous, you’re probably not prepared for everything that the show appears to be throwing at us all. Just own up to it now. Even knowing that the cast is completely comprised of reality TV personalities, you’re not prepared.

But don’t just take our words for it.

Take the word of VH1 and the trailer for the season as a whole. (Warning: some language that is somewhat not safe for work, and a few bleeped-out words to boot.)

Here’s what we’ve got: voting each other out by snuffing candles, clowns, fake ghosts, definitely creepy mansion, and arguments about … alliances? Isn’t this all for charity?

VH1 also has a synopsis for the first episode that confirms that everyone’s trying to win for a good cause:

"Ten of the biggest reality stars move into one of the creepiest estates in America and endure scares, gruesome challenges and one-on-one eliminations all for a shot at winning $100,000 for their favorite charity."

“Gruesome challenges”? Is one of the challenges just trying to avoid the clowns, or do they qualify more in the “scares” category?

Somehow, we get the sense that we’re not going to be able to look away from this series even if we tried, just because it seems like it’s a little ridiculous (even the show’s page promises that it’s actually supposed to be “hilarious” too)We could use a little of that right now, with more peak TV like Stranger Things 2 looming over us and everything else in the world generally being more serious than anything else.

So, here’s what you need to know.

"Date: Monday, Oct. 23Start time: 8 p.m. ETEpisode: “Savannah Horror Stories”TV Channel: VH1Live Stream: Stream 1 | Stream 2"

Next: Watch TV online (No clowns, we promise)

At least the interior of the mansion looks less terrifying than the outside, except for the creepy porch with all the candles on it. At least VH1 is really committing to the horror aesthetic, right?
