Thor: Ragnarok’s cast has given nothing away even as the actors attempt to participate in a new hashtag set up for the movie.
We’ll freely admit that Marvel’s new hashtag for Thor: Ragnarok isn’t the most inspired, but #WhatsRagnarok did at least get the cast of the movie coming up with some world-ending (or at least sort of world-ending) situations.
Sadly, #WhatsRagnarok doesn’t even have a fancy emoji to go with the hashtag. Perhaps the six different hashtags with five distinct emoji for some of the main characters was enough? Maybe Marvel just didn’t want to reuse the Thor-moji again.
First, Marvel Studios put out the call … over two tweets.
And of course, Tessa Thompson had an answer that casually burned one of Thor’s lines that’s been everywhere in teasers.
If a good portion of Ragnarok can just be Valkyrie taking down Thor (and Loki) whenever it’s required that she do so … look, I’ve written about it before, and I’ll write about it again: I’m more than happy to see it.
Mark Ruffalo went in a more fashionable direction, literally:
Alas, as of this writing, Taika Waititi has not actually come back with a response. But what exactly is wrong with a pineapple romper?
The leading man of this whole shebang, Chris Hemsworth, went for the definition of a dictionary joke:
And finally, though he’s not part of the cast per se, Marvel Studios exec Louis D’Esposito jumped in on the fun as well:
Then, just to make sure that people paid a little more attention, Marvel called in Chris Hemsworth (yet again), but this time to read others’ tweets, not his own:
Does this new attempt at a Twitter movement make you more excited or less so for the movie?
Next: How much Hela will we see in Thor: Ragnarok?
Or are you just happy to watch Hemsworth read his way through these tweets?
