Felix will be overshadowed by Clone Club yet again in “Guillotines Decide” — an Orphan Black episode so awesome that BBC America couldn’t even make a proper teaser for it.
BBC America promises that the eighth episode of Orphan Black‘s last season — “Guillotines Decide” — is “so hard-hitting … we can’t show you anything.”
That’s a big promise, but I’m pretty confident that the series will deliver.
Just check out the episode synopsis, courtesy of TV Guide:
"Mrs. S orders the sisters to take a night off from sleuthing to celebrate Felix’s art opening. But while Felix attempts to impress a famous gallerist with the help of his sestras, Sarah remains on edge with a nagging suspicion that S is hiding something."
That’s right: “Guillotines Decide” will bring together some of my favorite things about Orphan Black for one glorious hour. It has Felix. It has multiple Ledas in one location. It (probably) has a verbal altercation between Mrs. S and Sarah. If a newly one-eyed Rachel wanders in with some withering comments about Felix’s artwork, I just might cry with joy.
I predict that Helena, Mark, and Gracie will also be crashing Felix’s art opening. Last week saw the ex-Prolethean Bonnie and Clyde promise to hand over Helena and her unborn children to Virginia Coady in exchange for life-saving treatment for Mark’s Castoritis. If I’m correct in believing that this deal is a trick to neutralize Coady, then Felix’s show will be the perfect place for Orphan Black and the viewers to say a final farewell to Westmorland’s right-hand woman.
If I’m wrong and Mark and Gracie really do intend to sell Helena out, I bet Mrs. S orchestrated the whole ploy. (We do hear her whisper, “Sarah can’t know,” in the non-promo for “Guillotines Decide.”) She is getting desperate to save Kira — even though S was all for letting Kira make friends with Rachel earlier this season — and knows that Helena’s unborn kids are probably way more valuable to Neolution anyway. S has screwed over Helena before and I’m sure she’d do it again for the Miracle Child.
