Star Wars Forces of Destiny episode 4 unpacks biggest roster yet in “Padawan Path”

Forces of Destiny takes a page out of the Clone Wars animated series and revisits Ahsoka Tano’s time with Anakin, Yoda and the Jedi Order in “Padawan Path.”

After three episodes that felt like deleted scenes from the saga films, Star Wars Forces of Destiny takes a new path in episode 4. This time, fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano takes center stage. And unlike the previous episodes that paired the main character with a non-speaking partner like a droid or Ewok, Ahsoka shares her three minutes with two very familiar faces: Anakin Skywalker and Yoda.

Of course, we all knew Matt Lanter would reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, and to be fair, it’s good to see Skywalker pre-downfall again. The Clone Wars animated series is one of the best properties under the Star Wars belt, so there’s no reason Lucasfilm can’t revisit it. Plus, Snips is the best. She just is. Especially when she throws things at giant robots and unpacks her two green lightsabers.

Like, I know Yoda and many others used a green lightsaber before her, but Ahsoka Tano made it cool. And since it doesn’t look like Lucasfilm wants to sign up Rosario Dawson for a live-action film anytime soon, I’ll take as many animated shorts as I can get.

So check out episode four 4, “Padawan Path”:

On her way to a ceremony (What ceremony? I don’t know. Why are there only two people? I don’t know. Yoda wants her to be humble, I guess), Ahsoka pulls over to save a mother and child from a giant robot. The resulting fight scene felt pretty tame for someone who we know can take on Darth Vader. But alas, she only has three minutes.

Also, these aren’t meant to be emotionally traumatic things. I prefer to stick with the lighter side of Ahsoka and Anakin’s adventures anyway.
