A mom got a One Direction tattoo because she lost a bet

Sometimes losing a bet is hard, especially when the requirements of said bet mean you have to get a One Direction tattoo on your arm.

One Direction fans are some of the most dedicated fans in the world. They have loved those boys through thick and thin and now, even when the future of the band is unknown, they still support each member and their solo careers.

But this mom may have gone too far. Not in the way of being a fangirl, but in the sense that she underestimated the staying power of One Direction. The story goes as follows: her daughter wanted to go to a 1D concert. When her mother said no because she’d be over it by next month, the daughter made a bet.

It was simple, in 4 years if she still loved One Direction, the mother would have to get a 1D tattoo. And not just any tattoo, that ugly logo the boys had when they first started out. So the mother took the bet thinking she’d be in the clear.

And well, here’s an entire thread of what else ended up happening.

Now here’s the thing, as someone who loves One Direction, I would never in a million years get a 1D tattoo. Maybe lyrics or something like that but to get that ugly logo on my arm forever just because I lost a bet? I’d rather buy my kid expensive tickets to a Harry Styles concert.

But this mom wasn’t going to be known as the woman who wouldn’t hold up her end of the bargain. And now, for the rest of her life, she gets to look at that One Direction logo and think to herself “Well, at least ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ is still a bop”.
