Lights, camera, cook! Food Network Star Season 13 premiers on the Food Network. Twelve hopefuls embark on a journey to be the next Food Network personality. But, will one go home before the first challenge?
For some, staring in a Food Network cooking show is the ultimate dream. Sharing food experiences, cooking techniques and the love of food is the goal of many aspiring chefs and foodies. In Season 13 of Food Network Star, twelve chef-testants embark on the journey. Unfortunately, not all the chef-testants have earned their spot in the competition.
The Food Network shared the following synopsis for Season 13, episode 1.
"Twelve Food Network Star hopefuls arrive at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles in search of their big break. Upon their arrival, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay greet them with the troubling news that they must pass one more big audition before they will officially be considered finalists. On top of that, they learn there is one more person joining the competition: the winner of Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen. Special guests Monti Carlo and Robert Irvine help Giada and Bobby decide who will be the first competitor sent home."
For the past couple of weeks, the Food Network Star Comeback Kitchen competition has been fierce. While viewers don’t know which chef-testant joins season 13, whoever it is will have an edge. Having faced the pressure of competition, the returning chef-testant should make it through the first couple of episodes. But, as the competition heats up, the title is probably anyone’s opportunity.
Looking at the chef-testants, several the season 13 competitors have Food Network experience. One, Jason Smith won Holiday Baking Championship. The Food Network hasn’t had a new baker join the on-air talent in a while. Perhaps this addition gives a few hints on the course of the competition.
Actually, the chance at stardom is up for anyone to obtain. Who will join the ranks of former winners like Guy Fieri? Tune in to find out.
