The ladies crash in a dune buggy accident – Real Housewives of Orange County

Although the ladies of Real Housewives of Orange County reliably deliver catty backstabbing and snobby melodrama, in this episode they delivered audiences an actual fright. When Tamara got behind the wheel of that ATV earlier in the episode, we had know idea that it would end with life and death stuff.

I should say that everyone came out okay. Even Vicki who was airlifted out of the desert to the hospital. Now that we’re on the other side, we can make a light of it, but the accident itself was kind of brutal to watch.

The cameras on the dune buggy capture the jarring crash and the subsequent rollover. You can actually see Kelly Dodd’s helmet fly off. It’s so scary to see them in actual, present danger. Once the crash is over, the medics rush to their aid, and it’s chaos as they try to assess everyone’s injuries.

Heather Dubrow springs into action, getting everyone organized and sorted, all the while offering soothing words to Vicki. Vicki, by the way, is put on a stretcher and it seems like she has the  most serious injuries. With Tamara driving, she feels responsible, and Megan and Shannon are sure to capitalize on that fact, as they rehash the incident they weren’t even involved in.

The important thing to remember is that everyone is fine, but some of the OC ladies’ true colors came out during the crisis.
