3. Funko Pop! Figures

If collecting the Black Series just isn’t dangerous enough for you, we present you with the perhaps even tougher to resist Funko Pop! collection. Although the Luke and Leia figures shown above were sold at Star Wars Celebration Orlando and at some retailers as part of a greater exclusive Celebration collection, that doesn’t mean that you can’t start collecting with some more widely available figures. Funko makes more than just Pops!, as you can see on its website, but the series of figures and bobbleheads is quite large. (Put it this way: there’s even a Pop! of Bib Fortuna.)

But if that idea of rarity and exclusivity means something to you, and you also really like the Funko aesthetic, you may want to consider a Smuggler’s Bounty subscription. We here on Culturess have suggested it before as a gift idea, but maybe the gift needs to be to yourself. It’s a box that comes every two months that contains at least one exclusive Pop!, if not two, and adds in some other Funko-style goodies like shirts and mugs.

Currently, the next theme is the 40th anniversary of A New Hope, and the box subscription is still open. It appears, based on the website, that this month’s exclusive figure will be Luke Skywalker in his landspeeder from Tatooine in the film, and it looks to be a pretty hefty piece for Pop!s.
