The Chairman is preparing new chefs for the ultimate battle in Iron Chef Gauntlet. The Food Network show prepared seven chefs for battle against three Iron Chefs.
The arena doors are opening for a few chefs who are prepared for greatness. The new show, Iron Chef Gauntlet, asks seven chefs to test their skills in the ultimate kitchen battle. Each week a chef will be eliminated until one chef will face three Iron Chefs in the final faceoff. Who will reign supreme? You will have to watch to see.
Iron Chef was one of the first food reality television shows. The US version of the Japanese classic was a popular series for the Food Network. Over the years, the show has had loyal fans who eagerly anticipate the reveal of every secret ingredient.
Now, seven chefs enter the kitchen to see who will be worthy of culinary supremacy. All of these chefs have received accolades in their professional careers. From James Beard to Food & Wine awards, these chefs are highly talented. But, they are still seeking the kitchen glory.
According to the Food Network, episode 1 synopsis says:
"For the first Chairman’s Challenge, Alton Brown jump-starts the proceedings by serving up an array of wild ingredients, and the chefs must use their expert techniques to make a top-tier dish right out of the gate. Alton determines the most and least successful dishes, and the bottom-rated chef is thrown into the deep end for a Secret Ingredient Showdown against a competitor chosen by the winner. Dishes are presented to judges Donatella Arpaia and Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, and one competitor is sent home."
