Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD may have only had one episode so far in its alternate reality. But it sure as heck feels like we’ve been stuck there for years.
And that’s honestly a good thing.
Yes, Daisy and Simmons are currently trapped inside the Framework with no way out because Aida’s alter ego, Madame Hydra, has programmed out their backdoor. They are very much stuck with their SHIELD compatriots at a loss for who they truly are.
Except for Coulson (probably).
The last episode ended with Daisy stalking Coulson at his car outside of school. While he begs and pleads against her begging and pleading, saying he doesn’t know her, Daisy plays the “you’re the closest thing to family” card. And after a beat, he says her name, confused.

This is getting good! Alternate realities/universes can wind up very over the top if not done carefully. While we’ve only had one episode set in the Framework, Agents of SHIELD did a heck of a job making a perfectly opposite universe.
