Is Feud: Bette and Joan New Tonight, April 9?

After the disaster at the Oscars, how will Bette Davis and Joan Crawford move on on Feud: Bette and Joan, and will we see that tonight?

Feud: Bette and Joan might have seemed like a weird concept when it was first announced, but now that we’re deep into the series, it’s tough to imagine that we ever doubted it at all. Look no further than last week’s episode.

But now, our eyes — and the story — turn to the fallout. We know that this week’s episode has the name “Hagsploitation,” which refers to movies like, well, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? The podcast Slums of Film History did an episode on it to explain it further.

Incidentally, the page for the episode lists an extra movie for both Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. For Davis, it’s Hush…Hush Sweet CharlotteOlivia de Havilland also starred in the movie, so we might have some more Catherine Zeta-Jones yet, both in the ’70s documentary looking back and in the ’60s during the “present time” of Feud. Might we even see the filming? Crawford, meanwhile, got to play the murderer for once in Strait-Jacket(She even got an ax!) If you really want to know how the synopsis plays out, check out who directed which of those films. Both also dropped in 1964, so we might have to do a flash-forward or two to get to the actual filming.

But we don’t blame you if you don’t want to know more of the details. Sometimes there’s more fun in not knowing, right?
