“Disney World” – Sabrina the Teenage Witch

I like my warm weather to come with a side of haphazard magic and shameless corporate plugs. This episode of Sabrina has both, as our favorite adolescent witch heads south to Disneyworld to get her witch’s license.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch was among several of the TGIF shows that took trips to the theme park (as a way to promote it, prob). Family Matters, Step by Step, Full House, and Boy Meets World all headed to the greatest place on Earth for on-location episodes.

In Sabrina’s she has to pass some critical tests in order to obtain her witch’s license, but she winds up accidentally turning Libby and Valerie into zebras. This is just run-of-the-mill happenings for Sabrina and crew, and of course she winds up turning them right back into humans, thus getting her license after all.

In a moment inspired by Encino Man itself, the aunts create their own prehistoric man from a bone they found in an archeological dig. When I watch this show as a grown woman,  I think I’m most smitten by Aunts Hilda and Zelda. If I had to choose how to spend my break, it would definitely be conjuring a caveman from a found bone. Hands down.
