In case you missed the last episode of Grey’s Anatomy, we finally found out what happened to Alex. While he got out of the hot seat and found a way to get his job back, Meredith found herself in the hot seat by crossing Bailey.

But back to Alex.

As we all correctly guessed, DeLuca dropped the charges before Alex’s trial. Of course, it’s the only way Grey’s Anatomy could’ve resolved the situation. The other two options included writing Alex (Justin Chambers) off the show or having him spend the rest of the season rotting in a jail cell. Alternatively, I thought making him a prison doctor would’ve been fun, too. Especially since we saw how hard it is for them do that in “You Can Look (But You’d Better Not Touch)”. And we all know how much Alex loves a challenge and the chance to prove everyone wrong.

Also, I appreciate how Grey’s Anatomy subtly intertwined Eliza and Arizona’s relationship with the workplace. Initially, I thought they put it to the side. But now we understand they’re trying to keep things professional. (Although, this has to be more Minnick because we all know Grey Sloan doctors only date within the hospital, it’s more fun to watch them navigate the tension.)
