Animal Planet’s annual Puppy Bowl will continue its adorable traditions this year on Super Bowl Sunday.

Do you spend most of your time on the internet perusing friends’ and strangers’ feeds for pics of their pups? Do you spend most of your time in real life walking through the streets just hoping to encounter a new four-legged pal (accompanied by its often less interesting two-legged master)? Well, do you long to experience the camaraderie, excitement, and snack assortment of Super Bowl Sundays without actually having to care about a sport? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, the Puppy Bowl is here to change your life.

Now in its thirteenth year, Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl is a fan favorite event that takes place on Super Bowl Sunday. This year, the festivities will kick off at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT on Sunday, Feb. 5.  With pregame specials, behind the scenes footage, and live cams of the teams of some of the cutest (and arguably the most successful) puppies in America, there’s almost no competition that the Puppy Bowl will be the most important athletic event of the day.

And Animal Planet’s event is not just an unbearably snuggly cute-fest. Each puppy in the bowl comes from a reputable pet shelter. Moreover, Animal Planet dedicates itself to highlighting and promoting the adoption of pets with its super-popular annual event. Which is great, because while you’re watching tiny little furry guys and gals poke around a football, you will undoubtedly think to yourself 2-1,000 times a minute, “I MUST HAVE ONE!”

Super Bowl Sunday is, of course, a grand American tradition. And don’t expect it to go anywhere anytime soon. But this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, you can get one year closer to the ultimate goal of replacing all sporting events with puppy events. So, just make sure to tune into the Puppy Bowl XIII. After all, there is NO WAY anyone named “Alexander Hamilpup” is hitting the field in the actual Super Bowl, and that is just unacceptable.
