Adam Driver’s Going to Headline a Live Super Bowl Commercial

Not only will Snickers’ Super Bowl commercial reportedly be filmed live, it’ll also feature Adam Driver and at least one horse, apparently.

There are actually people out there who watch the Super Bowl, not to see who will become the NFL champions, but for the commercials that air in between all the football. Then there are those who enjoy both the football and judging the commercials based on their entertainment value. Anyways, it’s now also becoming a tradition for companies to tease their biggest commercial of the year or try and do something, anything different to get just a little more buzz.

According to AdAge, Snickers will actually film its commercial live, with Adam Driver, and it released a teaser featuring its horse casting.

In other words, it’s doing both of the above things.

Presumably, Driver will play some sort of outlaw, since he’s most famous for playing Kylo Ren. However, the horse reminds us of another famous commercial.

The following contains a parody of a six-year-old Old Spice commercial and Star Wars references.

“And, action!” cries the director.

“Hello ladies,” Driver intones. “Look at your man. Now back to me. Now back to your man. Now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me.

“But if he started eating Snickers, because he’s not himself when he’s hungry, he could act like he’s me. Look down. Now back up. Where are you?” The scene quickly changes to the bridge of a Star Destroyer. “You’re on the Finalizer with the man your man could act like. What’s in your hand? Well, snacks, probably. Back at me. I have it. It’s two tickets to Star Wars: The Last Jedi (out December 15). Look again. The tickets are now a fully functional lightsaber!” Of course, it’s not Kylo Ren’s lightsaber. That would be too obvious.

“When you eat a Snickers bar, you can do anything you like. I’m on a horse.”
