1. Wendy’s

Where’s the beef? It’s on Twitter, happening between the Wendy’s account and some guy who calls himself Thuggy-D. Or at least it was until the guy shut down his Twitter account. See, Wendy’s has spent years bragging about how their beef is never frozen, a fact that they reminded everyone on Twitter of. But Thuggy-D tried to call them out and accused them of lying about the freshness of their hamburger squares.

It started when Wendy’s posted a tweet stating, “Our beef is way too cool to be frozen.” Thuggy-D wasn’t buying it and responded with, “Your beef is frozen and we all know it. Y’all know we laugh at your slogan ‘fresh, never frozen’, right? Like you’re really a joke.” Then, Wendy’s replied with an assertion that they have, in fact, been using fresh beef since they were founded in 1969. When Mr. D tried to point out the ridiculousness of carrying raw beef on hot trucks, Wendy’s politely reminded him that refrigerators exist. Apparently, Mr. D couldn’t deal with the public humiliation so he briefly deleted his Twitter account after the exchange went viral. It even made Anderson Cooper’s RidicuList.

Way to go, Wendy’s! Hats off to @arb and her co-workers @mattkecksucks and @MeredithUlmer from Wendy’s social media team.
