11. R/GA

Here’s a brand that you’ve probably never even heard of. In fact, they’re more like “the brand behind the brand.” They’re called R/GA and they do marketing for other brands, which explains why they do such a good job with their own. They’ve got followers on Twitter who have absolutely nothing to do with the advertising and marketing business; they’re just here for the snark. Because that’s one thing R/GA delivers — snark. And lots of it.

Check out a few of the tweets that have come from R/GA in the past:

Lindsay Lohan set to play Liz Taylor in Lifetime movie. Still no word on who will play the young Liz Taylor.

They’re particularly fond of mocking other companies in both the marketing and media industries. “Vice Media worth $1.4 billion, according to the company that paid $580 million for MySpace,” they posted back in 2013. And then there’s this observation posted a few weeks ago. “Apps have become the ex who deliberately leaves a book or article of clothing in your apartment. Any excuse to message you.”

The man behind the tweets isn’t some paid intern or a whole crew of recent business school grads. It’s actually the company’s executive VP, Chapin Clark. And Chapin totally sounds like the kind of guy that would be a lot of fun at parties. (That’s not sarcastic. He really does.)
