7. Logan
Logan is the reason that we get the Man in Black. The entire time he and William are in the game, he is forcing William to go deeper and deeper into it rather than doing the honorable thing. William just wants to give the fugitive in for the reward but Logan is the one who murders the man with them and forces them into a village of ‘sin’.
Honestly, if Logan wasn’t as terrible as he is, we would never get the Man in Black or the change in Dolores. That’s just the point of Logan. We’re supposed to hate him and point out why he is terrible because without him, we couldn’t get William’s change.
Logan was just poorly designed in a way. He is one note. He is there in Westworld to have sex and murder, and that’s it. There isn’t really anything redeeming about him. What is crazy about this show is that the hosts have more nuances than the people who go to Westworld. Which, honestly, is probably the point.
People are terrible and can’t figure themselves out, but robots are designed to be flawed but also to have their good qualities too. Logan just kind of sucks but in a really hot and necessary way.
