Game of Thrones

Really, anything Daenerys Targaryen wears is up for grabs. Well, maybe not anything. Don’t show up naked after having burned down a yurt of men (though that feels like what should have happened in 2016.) And don’t show up with a dragon or covered in blood. You get my drift. But if you want to dress like the Queen of Meereen, just remember to have a neutral palette (grays, blues, silver and gold), a structured top and a flowing skirt. Dany loves a good draped dress too, so get some lush fabrics and get to work. Oh, and remember your dragon necklace!

If you like structure and tailoring, and a bit of flair to boot, why not wear one of Margaery’s tailored dresses? Regal and royal are the names of the game. Your Christmas party will be dazzled by your bold choice. Margaery’s low-cut tops are a part of her appeal, so just make sure to wear something that you won’t regret seeing on Instagram at 3 a.m. Margaery wears lush brocades in blue and gold, her hair down or up in curls.  And don’t forget your tiara.

You are the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms after all.

As for the menfolk, there’s not as much to be had. That is, unless you love a tailored military jacket, then be my guest. Ser Jaime Lannister, with or with the gold hand, is always a choice. Though you might have to leave your sword behind. Tyrion is also a fine choice, though I can’t imagine a scar on your face would go over well. King Tommen would be a great cosplay, as long as you stay away from windows.
