I’m pretty sure that all women who have uteruses have complicated relationships with them. On the one hand, they torture us every month with the menstrual cycle. But on the other hand, the menstrual cycle is what makes it possible for us to give birth to other feminists, if we choose to.
But even women who don’t want to have children care about their uteruses. Because their uteruses are being attacked pretty much all the time. It’s what we fight for when we fight for reproductive rights. It’s what we keep safe when we fight against rape culture. There are a bunch of people out there who want to force us to do things with our uteruses that we don’t want to do. So it’s imperative that we protect them.
