3. President David Palmer (24)

Like many politicians President Palmer started his career as an attorney. He slowly makes a name for himself and works his way through the beltway. Before becoming President of the United States, Palmer was a United States Senator, Maryland. He also held the office of United States Representative, Maryland, and Representative, Maryland State Congress. Palmer has built his political career on integrity, the honor for the office of the President and commitment to the welfare of the American people. In his one and only term as president, he was able to pass a Defense Appropriations and Social Security Bill. Palmer was also responsible for Job Creation and Worker Assistance Act. If that wasn’t ambitious enough, he also advanced a health care bill and clean energy proposal.

Palmer was a shoe in for reelection but backed away for an unknown reason. In the political landscape, this has never happened. He is later brought in to mentor President Novick who succeeded him. Novick had questionable decision-making skills and blamed Plamer if things went wrong.

He eventually leaves Washington and moves to California to write his memoirs. The divorced father of two children was assassinated in his brother’s home. It’s thought that hidden in his memoirs contained vital information in taking down the sale of Sentox nerve gas. Palmer had to know he was a target but that did not stop him getting the information to those who could help. For his actions during his Presidency and after are what set him apart from other Presidents.
