Track 11: “Blame”, 2:55

Holy crap. What a song!

This one is just angry. There is some serious shade being thrown with this one, and I love it. Any mention of hell and a heavy beat and bass line will get me.

It lightens up just a bit during the  bit where he’s singing, “Don’t pin it all on me,” which I think is both fitting and sorta funny. When he’s asking to not have the blame set on his shoulders, it softens up a bit and Dan’s voice goes into a higher register. Love it.

"“You go sleep with the fishes There’s no room for you here, There’s no room for you here Wrap your teeth around the pavement Cause your body’s a message, Send my regards to hell Fall upon your knees, Sing, “This is my body and soul here.” Fall upon your knees, Sing, “You’ve got the power and control.” Don’t pin it all on me “"

Listen out towards the end, at 2:30, for the vocals to change a bit during an extended chorus. Dan does a super cool thing with his voice. The guitar, too, comes back with a vengeance and the song ends on a hard note, punctuating it perfectly.
