11. Mary Berry

Most of us have gotten to know Mary Berry through her role as judge on The Great British Bake Off. She combines baking expertise with lovely personality. Her presence balances out the icy blue stare of judgement from her fellow judge Paul. Their judging partnership is considered one of the best on television, a perfect synergy of baking know-how, temperament, and desire to push the contestants to new heights.

Berry is the Mary Poppins of the flour world. She’s the kind of food celebrity that fans fantasize about having as a grandmother. She’s more than just a carefully coiffed and stylishly dressed woman though. From writing her name on Paul’s new car as a prank to savoring alcohol laced goods from GBBO contestants, her sparkling eyes are a sign of a cheeky sense of humor and impish nature.

She’s not just an amazing baker, she’s a phenomenal font of knowledge. Berry has published over 70 cookbooks including The Baking Bible. At 81 years of age, she’s involved in multiple TV shows. She is a baking rockstar. Having tea with scones, biscuits, and pastries at her table would be like taking a sacred sacrament.

Save Mary Berry, our hearts would collapse like soufflés and the shine would go out of our chocolate if we lost her.
