Sales of kilts and tartan products skyrocket after the premiere of season one of Outlander. Almost overnight websites were advertising Outlander Tartans. Fans of the show in the United States were quick to get their hands on anything related to Outlander, especially kilts. The Tartan material comes in all kinds of bright colors now, but the muted colors are accurate for the period in Outlander.
