2. Real 18th Century Parisian style

We have Claire with a tone down version of 18th-century Parisian style. Then we have Louise. She is an aristocrat in every sense of the word. She is a married to Prince of Guemene but is also having an affair with Prince Regent Charles Stewart. Louise was born with the very best, and it is evident in the clothing. She is covered with a luxurious satin material with floral embroidery. Louise is wearing gold lace that probably cost more than what a regular 18th-century Parisian made in a year. She is not shy about flaunting her wealth with all the jewelry she wore. Terry Dresbach and her team went all out when it came to Louise. Dresbach stated on her blog

"“The most fun thing about the gown was that no matter HOW MUCH we threw at the gown, it just absorbed it. Bows, furbelows, lace, flowers, jewels, nothing, was too much for this dress. I think we could have added even more but had to stop at some point.”"

It certainly doesn’t look like she overboard. It genuinely resembles like a gown Madam Pompadour or even Marie Antoinette would have owned. Obviously, time and money were not going to stop the Outlander costume team from getting 18th-century Paris fashion right.
