Raising Cane's NYC Bike Giveaway was a cheer-filled event with star power
Raising Cane’s is known for many things. While most people think of the brand’s tasty chicken tenders, the company is most vastly known for giving back.
That’s why I was so excited to be able to cover Raising Cane’s Holiday Bike Giveaway in New York City. When the brand extended the invitation to me, it was an easy answer.
As with all other Raising Cane’s events I’ve been to, this was extremely organized and planned to perfection. With the brand’s holiday motto this year being “Raise a Little Cane,” it was truly a Candy Cane paradise.
With the entrance featuring various candy cane designs, it felt like stepping right into the North Pole. Speaking of the North Pole, Santa Claus was in attendance along with Cane’s CEO and founder, Todd Graves along with a special guest, Lacey Chabert.
Raising Cane’s Holiday Bike Giveaway was a roaring success.
Raising Cane’s transformed an area across from its flagship location into a Christmas wonderland. This was all due to Cane’s giving away bikes to the Harlem Boys and Girls Club. Once the kids arrived, it felt like the event truly went to the next level as there was so much to be excited about.
The kids were excited to see Santa, get fitted for helmets, and even, get a chance to try out their new bikes. However, these bikes weren’t just the classic ones we know. These were red and white Raising Cane’s-themed bikes and they looked incredibly cool. Cane’s also provided hot chocolate for the kids to enjoy.
While the event’s focus was on the kids, there were also remarks made by Graves and Chabert. Despite talking like two old friends, Chabert and Graves remarked that they had only met today. It’s clear the two are connected through their love of Christmas and giving. However, seeing the queen of Christmas aka Lacey Chabert up close was pretty darn cool. While you might know her from roles like Mean Girls or any of her Hallmark Christmas flicks, she was as nice and warm as she seems. While I sadly didn’t get a selfie with her, it was nice to be around her and listen to her talk.
To say the event was fun would be an understatement. It was so nice to be able to see how excited the kids were and just how important giving back is to Raising Cane’s. Heading across the street from the event, we were able to enjoy a box combo courtesy of Raising Cane’s as well. While the event was only for a day, the Raising Cane’s Global Flagship location was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The entire restaurant was decked out for Christmas. There was even a Caniac Corner in which there were seats that looked like Texas Toast. Additionally, Cane’s had awesome merchandise, both for the location and for the Christmas season.
If you’re in New York City this holiday season, then the Raising Cane’s Global Flagship location needs to be on your list. For the decor alone, it’s a must-visit and to be able to snag some fun NYC-themed Cane’s merchandise is worth it. No matter if you're a NYC native or are visiting Times Square during a trip, then the Raising Cane's Global Flagship location is a must-see.
