The emotionally charged Oscar night has finally come to an end. Numerous well-deserved industry gems took home the shiny Oscar statuette and gave a heartwarming acceptance speech, enough to bring joyful tears to our eyes. Although this year numerous excellent cinematic contributions were snubbed and didn't receive the recognition they deserved, we simply cannot forget their cast and crews for the hard work they put into creating these impactful stories and gracing our screens with cinematic greatness. Through these incredible stories, each time, they gave us and the film industry a new perspective and performance to cherish.

2023 had truly been a year where cinema was at a great height, where the world was excited to go to theaters and witness these magnificent movies, created by these great directors who never fail to leave us in awe. The year gave us a cultural phenomenon like Barbenheimer, where everyone was just excited to dress up and go to theaters for a double feature viewing. Whether it be Past Lives, Poor Things, The Holdovers, Maestro, or Mission Impossible, the year gave us cinephiles a true visual treat.

This year, Oscar indeed gave us some precious moments and made us very happy looking at the victories of first-time Oscar winners. Whether it be Cillian Murphy finally grabbing his long-due Oscar, Robert Downey Jr. making the biggest comeback of his lifetime, or Christopher Nolan being bestowed with the Best Filmmaker trophy. For the Oppenhomies, the day was truly memorable, with 7 wins in major categories. Poor Things did great too, with Emma Stone becoming a second-time Oscar winner in the lead actress category after 2017's La La Land win. Further, the movie also took home three Oscars for production design, costume design, makeup, and hairstyling.

Even after making history as a billion-dollar movie directed by a woman, Barbie was snubbed badly at nominations and wins. It just took home the trophy for Best Original Song, What Was I Made for by Billie Eilish. While the other Oscar-nominated movies did win one or more in other categories, many beloved movies, such as Killers of the Flower Moon and Maestro, left the event empty-handed.

While we movie buffs never leave an opportunity to witness masterpieces, here are the names of Oscar's Best Pictures 2024 along with their streaming details.
