As we say goodbye to 2023, it’s time to look back at some of the best books we’ve read this year and I’m separating it by publisher so let’s talk Bloom Books.

If you didn’t know, Bloom Books is known for picking up popular indie authors and essentially helping them market themselves and their books to a wider audience. A lot of popular Kindle authors have gotten picked up by the publisher.

It’s also part of the reason why you’ve been seeing a lot of BookTok and other popular Indie books in stores. As someone who works a lot with Bloom Books, I wanted to show some love to the publisher and its amazing authors by sharing some of my favorite books for 2023.

Whether you’re new to reading romance or need a new author to add to your list, I’m featuring 8 of my favorite books published by Bloom Books this year.

These 8 books published by Bloom Books are some of my favorites.

First up on my list is Salt Kiss by Sierra Simone. I originally wasn’t the biggest fan of Sierra Simone’s other books but this one floored me. It’s a Tristian and Isolde retelling in which we follow Tristan as he gets hired as a bodyguard for a club owner. From there, the two start up a relationship and it’s great until we find out Mark is sending Tristan to get his new bride.

While Tristan wants to hate Isolde, the two can’t seem to stay away from each other and fight their attraction. This book is truly a tangled mess of love and lust that I couldn’t get enough of and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Next up on my best of list is a sequel I’ve been meaning to read and Bloom Books gave me the perfect excuse. The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan is one I’ve already talked about and even got an RT from Kennedy Ryan herself. If you haven’t picked up this series yet, you’re doing yourself a disservice and you need to read this ASAP.

Keeping with the theme of republished favorites, I have to include Flawless by Elsie Silver. I really do adore this book and everything I’ve read in the series. I was going to include Heartless on my list but since this one started the series, I’m starting here. The Chestnut Springs series are small-town cowboy romances that are truly amazing from start to finish.

Staying with the series, I adored Crossed by Emily McIntire. Honestly, I loved this one and Twisted but Crossed just edged it out. This is a dark Hunchback of Notre Dame reimagining and it is completely unhinged. We’re following Father Cade and Amaya who meet under unique circumstances and can’t help their budding attraction. This book was so hot and had so many twists and turns that it blew me away when reading.

I’d be remiss to not include Ana Huang on my list as I just adore her and her books. The book I’m putting on my list is King of Greed. This is the third book in her Kings of Sin series and it follows a marriage in trouble story between Alessandra and Dominic. I won’t give away too much but this one stole my heart and remains one of my favorite Ana Huang books.

These next three are all books that were the start of a new series for an author and first up is The Graham Effect by Elle Kennedy. This is the start of a new hockey romance series and this time, we’re following Gigi Graham as she has a mutually beneficial arrangement with her enemy: Luke Ryder. This has the perfect amount of classic Elle Kennedy while also being fresh and new.

No list from Bloom Books would be complete without Lauren Asher. This one was tough but I decided to go with Love Redesigned. While I adored Final Offer, Love Redesigned felt like something new for the author. Following childhood friends turned enemies, Dahlia and Julian were downright explosive and I couldn’t get enough of these two as they were dealing with life, their feelings, and figuring out what was best for them.

Last but not least, my final best book from Bloom Books is Bewitched by Laura Thalassa. This is the first book in her romantasy series. We’re following Selene who is a witch that loses her memories when she performs magic and ends up awakening Memon the Cursed who claims she is his wife. Bewitched was incredibly fast-paced, fun and made me really enjoy a genre I normally don’t love.

While I read a lot of books published by Bloom Books this year, these were just 8 standout titles and ones I couldn’t get out of my head. If you’re looking for a place to start with any of these authors, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these.
