Video game news this week is dominated by one gigantic not-so-secret elephant in the room. So let's just jump right into it and cover it first.

PlayStation 5 Pro

Yes, the worst-kept secret in gaming in recent months, Sony officially announced the mid-gen update for the PS5, The PlayStation 5 Pro.

And... not many people are very happy about it.

Mostly it's the price. It's $699 and that doesn't come with the vertical stand or a disc drive, so if you're a gamer who still likes their physical copies (like me) and want to stand your PS5 Pro up, you're looking at over $800 for a slightly upgraded console that feels like every new iteration of the iPhone: Kind of cool, but not enough stuff to really set it apart from the last model.

Still, if you haven't gotten your hands on a PlayStation 5 before now, maybe try for a Pro. Or wait for Black Friday and see if the PS5 goes on sale anywhere for a little bit cheaper.

Stardew Valley made entirely of LEGOS

This took the internet by storm earlier in the week because the level of detail and commitment in this LEGO building of the entire Stardew Valley map is just bonkers. I don't even need to say anything else, just look at it:

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 releases

It wouldn't be a news week if there wasn't a new video game release! This week it's Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and it's getting dang good reviews, sitting at an 83 from critics and a 7.9 from users on Metacritic.

From what everyone says, it's a wonderful throwback to games of the Xbox360 era, just taken to modern consoles in the best way. As always, Gameranx has a great "Before You Buy" look at it if you want some guidance before you commit:

Super Mario Party Jamboree goes for chaos

If you needed more chaos to your Mario Party games, well Nintendo is bringing the chaos to you. In the upcoming Super Mario Party Jamboree, they're going all-in on the online mini games.

Now, you'll be able to join up online with eight players instead of four! Or if you're really feeling daring, up to twenty players. Imagine the chaos! I can't wait to see how badly I do against nineteen other people in the mini games that have ended friendships!

More Tony Hawk's Pro Skater...?

You gotta love what comes out of Mythical Kitchen. In the most recent episode of the show, Tony Hawk made it known that he's been talking to Activision that fans "will truly appreciate." And with the 25th anniversary of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater right around the corner... dare we get our hopes up?

I'm just glad that Gameranx's Jake Baldino's response to the rumors didn't disappoint either.

We'll have to see if his comments mean more Pro Skater or if they're going to start an entirely new skating franchise.
