Try these General Mills cereal pairings for a sweet summer treat
When the summer heat is here, no one wants to cook. The thought of turning on the oven, your crockpot, or even, the air fryer is a task and General Mills knows that.
Sometimes though, the thought of eating cereal just doesn't cut it but thankfully, General Mills knows how to spice things up. Rather than just making a bowl with some milk and calling it a day, the brand suggested some fun cereal pairings.
There are so many great ideas for summer recipes on TikTok and I feel like cereal can tend to get lost in the shuffle. However, General Mills decided to share some of its favorite pairings with cereals we all know and love.
Plus each of these is inspired by a fun flavor but that's the best part. These are just their suggestions but you have time to go out and make some of your very own. Truly, the sky is the limit and there's something delightful about that.
Beat the summer heat with these General Mills cereal pairings.
Let's start with some fruit-flavored options as some people like to enjoy fruit on a hot day and who can blame them? First up is a take on Blueberry Cobbler which is a mix of Frosted Cheerios and Blueberry Chex. I don't know why but that sounds absolutely heavenly. There's something about the frosting and the blueberries that just sounds so refreshing.
The other fruit-centric one GM shared was Peach Cobbler which is made by mixing Peach Mango Cheerios and Ratio Toasted Almond Granola. Whether you're looking for some extra crunch or just crave a cobbler without all the baking, this is for you. Moving onto a classic summer staple, there is Chocolate Churro which is made using Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Chocolate Chex. Once again, where have these pairings been my whole life?
These final few pairings are inspired by some of our favorite sweet treats like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. For that, you'll have to mix Cookie Crisp and Frosted Cheerios. I don't know about you, but I feel like Frosted Cheerios are finally getting the love they deserve. Then these final two pairings all feature 3 different General Mills cereals. First is Rocky Road which is made using Lucky Charms Chocolatey Chocolate, Ratio Toasted Almond Granola, and Cocoa Puffs.
Last but not least, we have to talk about my favorite pairing of the bunch and that's Moose Tracks which is a combination of so many great cereals. For this one, you'll need to mix Chocolate Chex, Peanut Butter Chex, and REESE'S PUFFS Cereal. Whether you decide to go with one of the pairings that General Mills shared or create one of your own, these cereal pairings are sure to keep you full and cool on a hot summer day.
