Single Review: My Heart Is Yours by Serena Ittoo

When reviewing things, I rarely get an opportunity to review new music but thankfully Serena Ittoo dropped a new single called "My Heart Is Yours."

Ittoo is a UK native and she's both a singer and songwriter. Although she doesn't have an album just yet, she is clearly a very talented singer and deserves more attention than what she's getting now.

With that being said, I wanted to make sure I spotlighted her recent single, "My Heart Is Yours," which is an emotional song and really showcases Ittoo's vocals. Don't only take my word for it, though.

In a quote shared from Ittoo, she shared her thoughts on the song: "When two people are connected on a soul level, one of the most magical things of that love between them, is the ability to know how they’re really feeling even if they don’t say it to you, or others around them.” That is such an exclusive feeling that can't be easy to capture in a song.

Since this is a review, I wanted to share my thoughts on "My Heart Is Yours" and I must say that lyrically, this song is so impressive. It's clear she's putting a lot of her own personal feelings into it and that conveys in her voice. There's just something utterly vulnerable about that which you're bound to appreciate.

"My Heart is Yours" also tells a story of wanting to be with the one you love even though you can't be for some reason. This song feels a bit softer than what Ittoo has released to this point so you get to bask in her voice and just enjoy it. I don't know about you, but I think that "My Heart Is Yours" is her best song yet.

Hopefully, Serena Ittoo will decide to release more soulful and emotional songs in the future because I think those suit her voice. Either way, I think "My Heart Is Yours" is a step in the right direction for her.
