Looking back at 2023, there were SO many great romance books published by Berkley.

Due to that, I wanted to look back at some of my favorite romance books published by Berkley in 2023. I’m a huge romance reader and I do a lot of reading and reviewing when I’m not writing.

Of course, I’d like to thank Berkley for putting so many books on my radar and for publishing some of my favorite titles of the entire year. That’s why I knew I had to do a roundup of some favorites if you’re looking for something to add to your 2024 TBR or just want some books to check out before the year ends.

As with all of these lists, I can’t feature every single favorite but I wanted to share some that stuck with me and are honestly going to be books I revisit in the future so let’s get into it.

There were some of the best books published by Berkley in 2023.

Starting with some underrated gems, Jane & Edward by Melodie Edwards is a fun and modern twist on Jane Eyre. I never see anyone talking about this one but it was such a great read. Another underrated fave was Ana Maria and the Fox by Liana De la Rosa which is a historical romance with so many amazing tropes and a sequel on the way in 2024.

Some more underrated picks from Berkley were Mrs. Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler, Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon, and With Love, From Cold World by Alicia Thompson. I don’t know why more people didn’t pick up With Love, From Cold World but that was one of my favorites of this year.

One published early in the year was Do I Know You? By Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka which is a second-chance marriage story. This one just captivated me from the very start and I adored it. I’d also be remiss to not include The Neighbor Favor by Kristina Forest which is one of my favorites of the year. This is a Black love story between two people who have an unlikely connection.

Towards the end of the year, we also got some gems which were Next-Door Nemesis by Alexa Martin which is a neighbor romance between two estranged best friends, Technically Yours by Denise Williams which is an estranged coworkers to love story and then there’s also Game On by Seressia Glass. Honestly, I don’t know how Berkley published so many of my favorites this year.

I also wanted to give a special shoutout to some republished books that weren’t favorites this year but are some of my favorite reads. First up is Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas which is the ultimate age-gap story. Berkley also re-released the Lovelight Farms series by B.K. Borison, Ruby Dixon’s Ice Planet Barbarians series along with Chloe Liese's Bergman Brothers series.

Honestly, 2023 was a huge year for Berkley and they published so many amazing romances. I’m just excited to see what’s next and I hope you were able to find something new to pick up to start off 2024 or to end 2023 with.
