Are things about to hit a boiling point on All American? While season six has not reached a massive explosion yet, the seeds are being set for a potential eruption in upcoming episodes, especially surrounding Spencer, Jordan, and Layla.

With Spencer's eight-month early announcement that he will be entering the NFL Draft, the pressure is on for him to continue showing his worth to agents and scouts. Spencer has been promoted to a commodity, but is the new Offensive Coordinator, Coach Mac, there to mess with Spencer's chances?

At first, Coach Mac's strategy seemed reasonable. Taking advantage of the Condors' losing game, Coach Mac encouraged Jordan to pass the ball to move the ball around to the rest of the team, as sending the ball Spencer's way was predictable and had him double teamed.

Making those decisions not only helped show Jordan's ability as a Quarterback, but also helped show what the rest of the team was capable of outside of Spencer's media spotlight. But, while it was an interesting strategy during one game, Coach Mac's decisions are now becoming a bit questionable when he refuses to send the ball Spencer's way even during practice simulations.

Spencer is naturally growing frustrated by the lack of involvement he is having, as his time with the ball has grown far shorter. But, is Coach Mac doing this because he believes that one reciever is not bigger than the entire team? Or, is there something else nefarious occurring here?

Coach Mac has made it clear that he believes that Jordan is his guy and the most important asset on the team. Not only is Jordan excited and flattered by the new coach spending so much time devoted to Jordan, but, his dream is also coming true.

Jordan has always wanted a coach that considered Jordan to be their guy. He never had that with a previous coach, and with Mac stepping up and declaring he sees that in Jordan, it appears like it may finally be a step in the right direction. Except, Mac is already showing some potential manipulative flags.

Rather than encouraging Jordan to calm down from Spencer's outburst during practice, he appears to want Jordan to oppose Spencer. He has unnecessary comments to make about Jordan's dedication to planning a wedding with Layla. Mac does not seem at all interested in letting Spencer catch the football. Will Jordan's excitement about being a coach's guy make him blinded to a potentially dangerous mentor?

Due to the tensions between Coach Kenny and Coach Mac regarding how to run the team, those frustrations are coming out in Spencer and Jordan as they attempt the best way to navigate winning games and looking out for their own futures.

However, football is not the only area where Jordan's frustrations are coming out. While Jordan is constantly excited about his and Layla's wedding, sending her ideas for different things, Layla does not share his enthusiasm. But that is not because she does not care.

As Layla explains to Ryan, her anti-depressants prevent her from getting too high or too low, which places her in the middle, a flatline in regard to all wedding planning, rather than sharing Jordan's eagerness.

But, will her conversation with Ryan only make everything worse? Layla is more than aware that wedding planning two years in advance has been growing tension between her and Jordan. But, if Ryan's statement about altering how she takes her medication sticks in Layla's mind, it could be a very dangerous situation, especially if Layla goes about it without discussing it with her doctor.

Throughout "Business Is Business," All American sets the potential for explosive future episodes as Spencer, Jordan, and Layla strive to tackle their futures and influences from outside perspectives.
