While the vibrant Miami lifestyle might serve as a backdrop for all the on screen drama, Marysol Patton is never afraid to speak her truth. While The Real Housewives of Miami relationships might be spicier than any ropa vieja recipe, Marysol is focused on bringing gratitude and happiness to every part of her day.

Bravo’s Real Housewives franchises continually captivate viewers with a glimpse into the women’s glamourous, but often complicated, lives. Although everyone appreciates that reality television is not necessarily the normal daily grind, there are plenty of relatable moments beyond the multi-million dollar homes and epic vacations.

With The Real Housewives of Miami, Marysol Patton has seen the franchise evolve. Now as a friend of the series, Marysol has gleaned some perspective on the experience. When asked about how the series is changed, she mentioned, “the new cast is a little more eclectic, more open, more worldly. They are definitely an intelligent group of women. The vibe is different now. Back in the day, everything was very hostile and aggressive, darker. Now, it is a lot lighter and happier.”

While there seems to be a stronger bond, convivial attitude, RHOM has plenty of drama filled moments. But, as any good friend group appreciates, those highly fueled tense moments can give way to tender, compassionate support when needed.

For Marysol, she appreciates that her life experiences allow her to have perspective. Although she is not naïve, nor does she have a Pollyanna attitude about life, she does look to the positive.

She mentioned, “I try to wake up every day and say this is going to be a great, happy day and I will be grateful for everything.” That mantra can be seen in her approach to giving advice to others. She shared, “I try not to speak about anything unless I have some personal experience or I can give some good advice. I’ve been through a lot of things.”

While she never wants anyone to suffer, Marysol has lived through highs and lows. Her PR firm was hugely successful and shows her business acumen. On a personal front, she was a caretaker to her parents. All of those moments have brought her to a place where she has found a new chapter for herself. One that appears to have brought her much joy, even if it was a situation that she did not expect.

As Marysol revealed, she needed to find a purpose. Once that scenario happened, the positive influences seemed to fill her life. She shared, after her parents passed and she sold her business, she felt isolated, alone. Instead of letting that herself be overcome, she flipped the script.

“I started looking around and thinking, I’m healthy, I have a roof over my head. I looked for gratitude and everything that I had in my life changed. Good things started happening. I was like a magnet. Our energy and our mind attract what we are thinking.”

Reflecting on where she is now, Marysol admitted she never would have thought that she would be married and a stepmom. She loves the new life that she created for herself. In some ways, she hopes that her story inspires other women to welcome that positive energy in their lives and be open to the possibilities.

“I’m hoping that there are other people like me, and they see that you can have a whole new life. The minute you stop living is because you decided to stop.”

Marysol Patton is and will continue to live her best life. A glimpse into that world can be seen on The Real Housewives of Miami. The current season can be watched on Bravo. New episodes air on Wednesdays and can be streamed the next day on Peacock.
