1. “Santa Baby” as performed by Eartha Kitt

You might recognize Eartha Kitt from her various roles as Catwoman, Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove, or her Broadway career. It’s honestly wild to think about the fact that she’s the voice behind one of the best Christmas songs. When I first started drafting this list, I knew from the jump that Eartha Kitt was going to take the top spot. Sometimes, the best version of the song is the original and that’s the case this time around.

She brings such a sensual and fun energy to this song which makes it so fun for listening to during the holiday season. “Santa Baby” is the ultimate sexy Christmas song and her version is the one people aspire to be like. That’s why Eartha Kitt will remain the only person who could sing this song and it still is as relevant as it is today.

In a way, it feels like the perfect way to honor her and her memory. Even though Eartha Kitt has passed away, her legacy lives on with “Santa Baby” and that is why this song is as beloved and popular as it is now. Even if you’re not a fan of classic Christmas songs, I do think this one stands the test of time and is a fun one to sing during the holiday season for karaoke or just for enjoying around the house.

While there are so many different versions of “Santa Baby,” out there, I just wanted to show some love to my favorite Christmas song. Of course, I’d love to know what you think of our rankings and if there’s any version of the song you think we missed.
