Let’s rank 8 different versions of Santa Baby (2023)

3. “Santa Baby” as performed by Kellie Pickler

The #3 spot on my rankings goes to Kellie Pickler. The country crooner is another product of American Idol and she’s had some amazing hits. However, no one seems to talk about her cover of “Santa Baby,” and I don’t know why.

Either way, it ended up at #3 because it was just so good. Maybe it’s just because I love her voice but she kills this one. It doesn’t feel like it’s too different from the original but still has a sickly sweet tone that I adore. Her voice just sounds like honey and I wish I could have heard this song before writing up this list.

No matter if you’re a country music fan or not, I don’t think you can go wrong in giving this one a listen. She puts her all into it and it’s worth the listen. Trust me on this one, I didn’t think she’d be as high up on my list but her version captured my heart after the first listen.

2. “Santa Baby” as performed by Kylie Minogue

If you’ve listened to different versions of “Santa Baby” outside of the original, then I’m sure you’re familiar with this one. Performed by Kylie Minogue, this feels like a spiritual predecessor to Eartha Kitt. She plays it up and her voice sounds so breathy and sexy which is what makes the song sound so fun.

When some artists perform this song, they tend to either pull back or go over the top yet Kylie Minogue plays it perfectly. She’s nearly close to being as good as the original. Of course, nothing can top Eartha Kitt (hint hint!) Even so, Kylie Minogue feels the closest to me and that’s why she took the #2 spot on my list.

If you’ve listened to the song, I’m sure you can figure out who is in the top spot but I mean who else could it be?!
