5. “Santa Baby” as performed by Taylor Swift

As we get to the middle of the list, most of these names are looking familiar. One thing you might have forgotten is that Taylor Swift covered “Santa Baby” back in 2007. Swift released a Christmas album called The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection which featured a few Christmas classics on it and was even a Target exclusive upon its first release.

While she tends to get lost in the shuffle, I think that Taylor Swift’s version of “Santa Baby” is more flirty and fun than sexy. It also doesn’t get as much attention as her other Christmas songs. Regardless, it’s one of my favorite renditions. The only sad thing is that I doubt Swift will ever decide to re-record this album. If she did, that would be amazing so we can all hope and wish that Taylor decides to revamp one of her most underrated projects.

4. “Santa Baby” as performed by Brandy

Coming in the very middle of my list is a fairly new rendition and that’s Brandy’s take on “Santa Baby.” This release was part of her Christmas with Brandy album which features a lot of great songs on it. However, her rendition of “Santa Baby” does the difficult task of not only keeping the original message of the song but adding a new sound to it while still paying homage to the original.

The only reason why this one ended up in the middle was because the others were just THAT good. However, maybe we’ll see Brandy make her way up higher in the future. I just really enjoy Brandy’s voice and this album is worth listening to because it’s just that great. This is another one getting added to my 2023 Christmas playlist because we rarely get as good a covers as Brandy did of this one.
