7. “Santa Baby” as performed by Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies

When it comes to modern Christmas songs, no one does it quite like Ariana Grande. This time, she teamed up with Liz Gillies to remake this classic. I don’t know about you, but this one is pretty unique so it had to make the cut. We rarely see more than one woman performing this Christmas classic and these two made it their own in the best way. As much as I like Ariana Grande’s voice, I do feel like Liz Gillies does sound just a bit better here and I do wish she would eventually cover it.

Who knows, though? Maybe we’ll have to make an amended list for 2024 and include a version that Liz does by herself. Until then, this rendition featuring both Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies was an easy one to make my list.

6. “Santa Baby” as performed by Lauren Spencer Smith

Moving onto the #6 spot, this is an artist who is new to me and that’s Lauren Spencer Smith. In doing my research, I figured out that she was on American Idol. Even though she didn’t win, she has such an amazing voice and recently, she dropped her cover of “Santa Baby,” and I was blown away.

Even though I hadn’t listened to her before writing up this list, it made me want to listen to her music. Since it’s such a new release, it’s not nearly as iconic as the others featured on my list but I had to include it. Her voice sounds so classic and timeless so it works perfectly with the song and its sensual nature. This was an easy one to add to my 2023 Christmas Playlist and I know that I’ll be listening to this one the rest of the holiday season.
