With the finale within reach, Lego Masters Roller Coaster Madness has the remaining teams experience a myriad of ups and downs. After 12 hours of building, one team will not find the amusement in this difficult challenge.

According to FOX, Lego Masters Roller Coaster Madness features the following:

"Buckle in tight! The four remaining pairs are tasked with creating a roller coaster that incorporates a mechanical lift, a drop, and imagination that reaches new heights. Within 12 hours, the teams must create a coaster that is technically sound and have an aesthetically pleasing theme throughout the build. Only three teams will ride into the finale in the all-new “Roller Coaster Madness” episode of LEGO Masters airing Thursday, November 30 (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

While Lego Masters tests the teams’ creativity in all the challenges, this particular build focuses on engineering knowledge. It can be easy to make steep drops and banking turns in an electronic, video game world. For Lego creators, there can be more limitations. Understanding how to make a lift, have enough momentum to make the loop, and other aspects need to be considered. While the imagination can see it, the reality may not be possible.

Looking across the theme park world, the roller coasters continue to push boundaries. Many experiences blend the storytelling and the thrill. The extreme drop from that Top Hat moment is just as important as the imagery placed in that steep banking turn.

In the Lego Masters Roller Coaster Madness challenge, the creators need to take all of those ideas into consideration. If the team gets the engineering correct, but the creativity is lacking, will the judges applaud at the end of the ride? Or, will creativity save a build that has the car stuck on the track?

In this exclusive clip provided to Culturess, the Lego Masters Roller Coaster Madness to the ride to the finale might be a little too thrilling.

Relying on gravity, physics, and momentum is not necessarily how these teams want to make the finale. One little glitch and their Lego Masters dreams go off the rails. Even if every test went perfectly, performing at the moment is different. While these roller coaster cars getting stuck on the track might not be as difficult as a roller coaster stall in real life, the implications of winning that Lego Masters prize are huge.

Each team took a very different approach to this challenge. From ditching the well-tested loops to creating their own lift system, the risks were many. At the same time, the Lego Masters Roller Coaster challenge is more than just getting the car to move on the track. The scene needs to be creative.

The hopes and dreams of each team are like the roller coaster challenge itself. The 12-hour build is the anticipation to the end. There have been twists, turns, ups, and downs. It might not have been the ride that they expected, but it is one that they will not forget.

Which three teams will make the Lego Masters finale? Be sure to turn into Lego Masters Roller Coasters Madness on FOX. The episode airs Thursday, November 30 at 9 p.m. ET and it can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
