King of Greed proves Ana Huang is unstoppable as a writer

Ana Huang is one of those romance authors who immediately sucks you in. Her books are like candy and you can’t stop after just one so I was thrilled to get an ARC of King of Greed.

While most people know Huang from her Twisted series, she’s made a slight departure with her Kings of Sin series which follows all of the seven deadly sins and the men who personify them.

The first book was King of Wrath, next was King of Pride and now we’re getting King of Greed. This is Dominic and Alessandra’s story and if you’ve read the first two books, we all knew this was coming.

I’d like to thank Bloom Books for sending me an ARC as I adore Ana Huang so let’s get into my thoughts and feelings on her latest.

King of Greed is a swift yet welcomed departure for Ana Huang.

If you’ve read the first two books in the series, you’ll know that Dominic has chosen his career again and again over his wife: Alessandra. Finally, she’s had enough and this book is her decision to finally file for divorce and branch out on her own.

While it might not seem like a romance at first, this book slowly morphs into one but not before we see Alessandra get her footing and Dominic reflect on what he wants. Despite being extremely rich and powerful, he begins to realize that the things he needs aren’t just that.

Throughout this book, we watch as these two go through so much together and apart yet they eventually can come back together. Of course, she doesn’t make it easy on him as he grovels, apologizes, and does everything he can to make up for his past mistakes. It’s also nice as we see flashbacks of how the two fell in love and eventually, fell apart.

Ultimately, this book felt like a much more mature romance from Ana Huang but I’m not mad about it. If anything, it made me love her even more. King of Greed had a bit of everything when it came to tropes. There was marriage-in-trouble, second-chance, billionaire, and more but I won’t give away everything as it’s best to go in blind.

Regardless, Ana Huang once again made me fall in love with this couple and root for them until the very last page. If you haven’t picked up this series by her yet, then you need to because it’s amazing. I’m honestly counting down the days until the next book releases because I just can’t get enough.
