If there’s one author who never steers me wrong, it’s Ana Huang. There is something addicting about her book including her latest, King of Wrath.

While the book was released on ebook in 2022, it was eventually picked up by Bloom Books to be published in paperback. As someone who both read the ebook and was graciously sent a copy by Bloom, I knew I had to feature it.

No matter which book started your journey with Ana Huang, I feel like King of Wrath is the perfect next step. If you’ve never read Ana Huang before, then King of Wrath is also a great place to start although I do feel like you’d get more by starting with her Twisted series.

Regardless if this is your first time, picking up an Ana Huang or if she’s a favorite, there are a few reasons why you should be adding King of Wrath to your TBR.

If you’re looking to dive into King of Wrath by Ana Huang, this is your sign.

As I said, I’m a huge fan of Ana Huang, her books, and her writing so maybe I’m being a bit biased but I had to feature this one on its paperback release day. With it hitting bookstores today, I know so many people will be curious about so I wanted to share why it’s a can’t-miss this week.

1. It’s connected to her Twisted series.

If there’s one thing that will guarantee me picking up a book, it’s knowing the author has some easter eggs in there. In King of Wrath, we get an appearance from Christian and Stella who are the couple from Twisted Lies. While it’s a pretty pivotal scene in both books, I do think it’s worth noting if you’ve read and loved that series yet haven’t picked up King of Wrath just yet.

2. King of Wrath features some amazing tropes.

While some people don’t tend to gravitate towards tropes only, I do feel like having them does entice others to pick up a book. For King of Wrath, there are a handful of tropes that I know my fellow romance lovers will enjoy. Our hero, Dante is a billionaire and he’s not exactly a nice guy, more of a morally grey man.

As for their relationship, it’s an arranged marriage set in motion by Vivian’s father so there’s a lot of tension and angst there. Honestly, if those tropes don’t entice you to pick this one up, I don’t know what else will.

3. This feels like a natural stepping stone for Ana Huang

As a reader, it’s great to see an author naturally progress with their writing and for me, Ana Huang has done that with King of Wrath. While I do adore her Twisted series, those were more new adult picks and King of Wrath is a decidedly adult romance. I know that not everyone loves new adult stories so no worries about this one.

However, I do think, on the whole, Ana Huang’s writing is so much cleaner and more sophisticated in this story. It’s clear she’s worked hard and honed her craft so I’m definitely excited to pick up the next book in the series.

4. King of Pride is releasing on ebook on April 27th.

Speaking of the next book in the series, you’ll be happy to know that King of Pride will be released on April 27th. What better time to pick up the first book than right before the next release? Maybe I’m just a bad influence, but I know I’ll be diving into King of Pride as soon as it drops. Plus I’m pretty sure I’ll end up re-reading King of Wrath because it was such a solid read.

5. King of Wrath is such a fun story you won’t want to pick it down.

Aside from loving Ana Huang’s other books, I knew I was going to love King Of Wrath and after reading it, it was partially because it was such a fun book. While the book had its dark and emotional moments, it’s still a romance book. There is something so delicious about picking up a book like this and just devouring it.

While I won’t give away much about the plot, King of Wrath might be my favorite Ana Huang book yet and it’s one I know I’ll be revisiting. She writes such vivid characters with real problems, and compelling storylines and honestly, just makes me so invested in them, their lives, and their romance. As I said if you haven’t read Ana Huang yet, this is a good place to start.
