Upcoming Lifetime Holiday Movie to Feature 80s’ Primetime Soap Opera Divas

Lifetime channel is known for its drama and soap opera-ish movies, but in recent years they’ve made cheerful Christmas films. With Christmas around the corner, the network is already releasing promos for their upcoming flicks.

A Divas Christmas is one of the films on the schedule and features a who’s who of popular 80s TV actresses. The main cast features Dallas star Linda Gray, WKRP in Cincinnati darling Loni Anderson, Falcon Crest actress Morgan Fairchild, and Knots Landing vixens Donna Mills and Nicollette Sheridan.

Rounding out the supporting cast are Travis Burns, Taylor Ann Thompson, Patrika Darbo, Christopher Atkins, and Chloe Mills (daughter of Donna Mills).

The opportunity to work with five of primetime TV’s top stars was a dream come true for the executive producer Larry A. Thompson. In a statement, Thompson expressed his excitement about the project.

Gray, Anderson, Fairchild, Mills, and Sheridan are playing roles they’re familiar with. A Divas Christmas follows five former soap opera actresses who reunite to film a special holiday episode of their series.

However, chaos ensues when old rivalries are reignited and the women’s bickering threatens the project. The ladies realize they need to put their differences aside for the holiday special. They also come together to play cupid for the show’s producer and director, played by Burns and Thompson.

A Divas Christmas is already generating buzz and it’s sure to be one of the must-watch movies. So when can fans expect to see the holiday flick?

According to Entertainment Weekly, no premiere date has been set, but the film will be released later this year.
