When it comes to hyped romance books, nothing seems to top Flawless by Elise Silver. That book blew up and it was everywhere.

Whether you were watching Booktube, on BookTok, or popped onto Bookstagram, everyone was talking about it. That’s why when Bloom Books reached out to me about covering it, I was slightly hesitant.

I knew how much people had raved about this series and could even tell you the premise from hearing it so many times. Regardless, I decided to give it a try and see if Flawless by Elsie Silver is worth the hype or if it’s one of those books that has gotten caught up in the hype.

Before getting into my thoughts, I wanted to thank Bloom Books for putting this one on my radar as I originally wouldn’t have covered it without a little push.

Is Flawless by Elsie Silver a rodeo darling or one for the rodeo clowns?

If you’ve seen this book around, I’m sure you’ll know what I’m talking about and recognize the plot of it. If you haven’t, this book follows Rhett who is a bull-rider who seemingly insults his biggest sponsor and punches someone on the same day. It’s a PR nightmare and to try to smooth things over, his agent enlists his daughter Summer to babysit Rhett.

While these two start off having a tumultuous relationship, they eventually start to warm to each other as Rhett realizes his faults and Summer realizes what she wants to do and who she wants to be outside of her father. Regardless of the page count, I read this book in two sittings and honestly, I couldn’t put it down.

With that being said, I’m sure you’ll know what I’m going to say and it’s yes. Flawless by Elsie Silver is worth the hype. Somehow, Elsie Silver managed to make me enjoy a sport I knew little to nothing about and made me want books for all of Rhett’s brothers and some of his fellow competitors.

Of course, Elsie Silver did continue the series and I know I’ll be picking up all of the books in this series. If you’re like me and were hesitant to pick up these books, then I’d say give them a try. Considering how hot small-town romances are right now, I don’t think you can go wrong with picking this one up.

The romance is great. There’s plenty of steam and lots of character growth plus this is the start of her Chestnut Springs series. Whether you’re new to cowboy romances or just want some small-town vibes, I’d recommend giving Flawless by Elsie Silver a try.
