Animated series Bluey returns to Disney+ with ten new episodes

Good news for fans of the famous Blue Heeler dog! Bluey is returning to its home on Disney+ with 10 new episodes! The popular animated children’s show has caught the attention of global audiences since the series premiere in 2018. The show has since become a household name and has been praised for its continued depiction of modern everyday family life and sparking conversation as it addresses real life-issues while still being geared towards younger viewers. The series won an International Emmy Kids Award in 2019.
The show is produced by Emmy Award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS (Australia) and co-commissioned by ABC Children’s and BBC Studios Kids & Family. It is financed in association with Screen Australia and100% created, written, animated, and post produced in Brisbane Queensland, Australia, with funding from the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland and the Australian Government.
The colorful ensemble of canine characters include main characters, Bluey Heeler, Bingo Heeler, Bluey’s younger sister, a Red Heeler puppy, Bandit Heeler / Dad, the archaeologist father of Bluey and Bingo, Chilli Heeler / Mum, who works part-time in airport security. Some other supporting characters include Coco, a pink poodle who is Bluey’s friend. Snickers, a dachshund who is Bluey’s friend, Rusty, a Red Kelpie from the bush, Indy, an Afghan Hound, and many more!
The new episodes will feature familiar voice talent from actor Lin Manuel Miranda, who portrays a talking horse to actress Rose Byrne (Platonic) who will portray Chili’s sister Brandy.
